PMW, the maker of the Go-Ped brand scooters, recently became aware that some of its products are being counterfeited in China . These counterfeits are made available for sale in the USA and in foreign countries such as Japan and Australia .

The Genuine Go-Ped Brand of motorized scooters has been in existence since 1985 and has consistently proven to be the innovative leader in high quality portable transportation devices. Since 1985, PMW has taken great pride in designing and handcrafting, in the USA , the highest quality scooters. The Go-Ped Brand uses only the highest strength materials developed for very stringent US Military specifications creating the highest weight-to-strength ratios, and the safety margins necessary to withstand the tremendous loads imposed on such light weight, efficient, and patented designs.

As a result the Go-Ped Brand has been the target of very sophisticated counterfeiting operations from regions of the world where consumer safety is no virtue.

These unscrupulous “looks over quality” operations also have no regard for consumer safety, quality, employee safety, American jobs and Intellectual Property Rights.

These companies try to confuse consumers by claiming that they are approved by our company Patmont Motor Werks and its Go-Ped Brand or that they are in fact Patmont Motor Werks. They shamelessly use the Go-Ped brand name, photos and other goped.com website and communication materials to sell their very dangerous cheap imitations.

PMW, though a small company, is dedicated to the fight against such Patent, Trade Mark, and Copyright infringements, and has found certain relief through the American and International Justice systems and will continue to do so.

We warn you and all our customers against these counterfeits and the danger they represent. The counterfeited products are low quality imitations which infringe upon many PMW and Go-Ped Property Rights.

To ensure you are purchasing a genuine American made Go-Ped product, we invite you to follow these steps:

      -     Purchase your Go-Ped scooter from a factory authorized PMW dealer. To locate a dealer, please visit the Go-Ped Dealer Locator or call PMW at 925-373-6309

- Use extreme cautions when purchasing a scooter on the Internet , which claims to be a Go-Ped product. Unrealistically inexpensive brand new scooters claiming to be Go-Ped scooters are probably counterfeits made in China . Genuine Go-Ped scooters are only made in the USA .

- Be aware that despite showing the photo of a Go-Ped product, the product you are purchasing may not be a Go-Ped scooter. Many counterfeiters use our photo, communication materials and brand name to sell counterfeits.

- Contact PMW at 925-373-6309 or by email at goped@goped.com so we may refer you to an authorized Go-Ped dealer and confirm the product you are interested in purchasing is a genuine Go-Ped scooter.

If you are aware of any reseller of counterfeited products, please also contact PMW immediately.

PMW will prosecute anyone who attempts to sell these counterfeit products.
