Another
huge Holiday season in the bag and bigger then ever!
We'd like to thank
all of our dealers for their patience and for accommodating our availablity. We
really had great teamwork between our dealers and our customer service department.
I think a few dealers actually cut it really close and received scooters on Christmas
Eve, a little too close for comfort again thanks for hanging in there. So we would
also like particulary to thank all the dealers who proactively contacted us to
prioritize their orders, which allowed for a better flow of scooters and availability
for other dealers. Now that we've made it through
the Holiday rush, things tend to slow a bit traditionally. This gives most of
us a chance to regroup and get ready for the Spring and Summer rush. Once that
snow melts and Jack Frost goes south lookout...here comes the sun, fun and the
sweet sounds of Go-Peds® about the neighborhood,of course unless Go-Ped®
riders are on the all new electric ESR750 or getting some exercise on a Know Ped®. | | | |

all New Go-Ped® Electric comes to life as the "ESR 750" (Electric
Speed Racer). PMW is proud to announce the long awaited and much
talked about chain driven, pneumatic wheeled Electric that, which will be hitting
the streets very soon. We're producing a limited number of units that will
be used in our Beta program. Many dealers will get a chance to have a Beta unit

PMW and Dealer Responsibilities: Insight on 2004
In 1985, Patmont Motor Werks founded this wonderful new motorized scooter
industry, but to maintain its leadership position, Patmont Motor Werks will remain
focused on strengthening its brand appeal and equity and developing the latest
and most cutting edge products in the scooter industry to provide Go-Ped®
and its dealer network with a very competitive edge. In 2004, many new
products will be added to the existing product line, among them the eagerly antisipated
electric Go-Ped® scooter, the ESR750 (Spring 2004). Also, current models will
be improved with the introduction of new improved parts, such as the Mad Dog Brakes
depicted in the previous article. We have listened to the feedback of our
dealers and customers, and will bring to the market some amazing products and
improvements to answer customers' needs and continue strengthening the California
Go-Ped® brand and the success of our Dealers' businesses. Also, in order
to raise public awareness for the California Go-ped® scooters and promote
the local dealers, a very creative promotional campaign will be launched in the
Spring throughout the USA, in partnership with our dealer network (stay tuned
to the next dealer newsletter). However, we also rely on our dealers to
help us further assert our leading position by actively promoting the California
Go-Ped® brand and striving to represent Go-Ped® in the highest and most
professional manner. We recently received some very good feedback from
a valued PMW dealer, who highlights what the duties of Go-Ped® dealers are.
His sentiments are shared by the best of all Go-Ped® dealers and he has agreed
to let us share his great input with all Go-Ped® dealers. Here is some for
food for thought and action for our dealer network:
1.
"Teach and educate the consumers about the differences in quality, readily
available replacement parts, tons of after market parts to customize the Go-Peds
versus the cheap Chinese scooters that have no replacement parts to fix, no after
market parts, and no quality control in manufacturing. We as a Goped dealer are
the front line in the battle against all other scooters out there. If Goped brand
scooters are to survive and come out on top, we have to educate the consumers
about the Goped products. Explain to the consumers why they should buy the Goped
brand instead (...) For example, I can push any brand of scooter to an uneducated
consumer when they walk into my shop. Most of them dont know what the differences
are from one scooter to another (...) This is why a Goped dealer has the utmost
important role in promoting Goped brand scooters to the public.
(...)I
have trained all my employees to push the Gopeds over any other scooter. We are
telling the customers that Goped is the best scooter on the market period, originator
of all gas scooters and the only gas scooter hand crafted in USA with highest
quality control. I have associated the Goped brand to Ferrari and Rolex; top names
in its class. I know that there are lots of Goped only dealers out
there, but I know that there are just as many if not more dealers that carry other
scooters too. If we can all work to push the Goped brand to the consumers, we
will soon see more Gopeds on the road, more name recognition for Gopeds, more
people who want to race them."
Please
note that Patmont Motor Werks recently introduced some great brochures, which
are a great tool for our dealers to demonstrate to customers why Go-Ped® is
the best brand on the market. The new brochures are customer friendly and promote
the many benefits of owning a Go-Ped® brand scooter. Remember to run the Go-Ped®
Promotional video in your store, which contributes to creating a great appeal
for the California Go-Ped® brand. 2.
"Adhere to the MAP pricing. That applies to in-store prices as well. If we
can all stick to the MAP price, we can help to keep the Goped name more prestigious
and also have enough profit margins so that we can all stay in business. Also
it deters the customers from calling every dealer out there to save a few bucks.
All products that have prestigious name like, Rolex, Ferrari, Porsche, etc. have
firm prices across the board."
3. "Think
of another Goped dealer as a family, not as a competitor. If a customer comes
in from far away, not knowing that there is another Goped dealer near him, recommend
to him the nearest dealer. This will make your shop look good and the other shop
as well. The customer will appreciate you more because you have been honest and
save them driving time. When they have friends or relatives that live in your
area, they will tell them about you. There is enough Goped market to go around
for all of us. " 4. "Tell every Goped buyer,
that we race them. Lots of people dont have any idea that we race Gopeds.
Tell them to visit IGPA web site. Tell them to come out to your practices. Tell
them that racing Gopeds will make the kids more responsible, braver, develop balance
and hand-eye coordination. Tell them it is the cheapest motor sport that you can
get into."

First
Tradeshow and Dealer Training of the New Year
We kicked off
the New Year in Birmingham, England at the Autosports International car show held
at the N.E.C. We teamed up with our UK Go-Ped® distibutors Line One. The show
was a great success and it's always gratifying to get just as much interest in
our scooters as the multi-million dollar F1 race cars around the corner. The new
movie "Progressive" was also a jaw dropper as people walked by. For
three years running Line One Distributors and California Go-Ped® have joined
forces to exhibit our amazing scooters at the Autosports International car show
held at the NEC in Birmingham, England, the first weekend of January. On
the Monday and Tuesday following the tradeshow Nick from Line One and myself (Scott
from PMW) conducted the first Line One/ Go-Ped® Dealer Service Training in
Fairford, England. The classroom was located at the local church (15th century
or something like that - bloody old) community center (Sunday school classroom)
which worked out perfectly and was very close to Line One's shop. We had Dealers
from as far away as Scotland and Spain. This allowed for the 48 attendees to go
over to Line One and meet everyone or pick up & place orders as well as have
a test ride on the Go-Bike.

Kickstand Kiraly
Kevin is the youngest professional
rider on the track, but dont let that fool you; he has an incredible amount
of talent! Kevin started out being one of Team Go-Peds up and coming freestyle
riders at the early age of twelve! He shocked people with his incredible riding
in The Movement movie, but people didnt know hispart was filmed
in only a few short days. Known for being super smooth, he pulls off all his tricks
with precision and confidence. He probably has the most style of any of the riders,
which is evident in the newest Go-Ped movie entitled Progressive,
where he has the headlining spot! Now at sixteen, hes already earned himself
Pro Overall World Champion at the 2003 Scootercross World Finals, where the best
of the best come and battle it out! Kevin chooses
to ride Go-Ped Brand Scooters, because they are best all around scooter!

Willie
Hollywood Handy
Willie is
probably the wackiest rider out there, earning himself the nickname Hollywood!
Hes full of energy on and off the track. When it comes to riding that means
insane, big tricks! Hes also starred in several videos and is beginning
to be one of the veterans of the sport. He has several World titles and is one
of the main riders on Team Go-Ped. At the 2003 Scootercross World Finals, he became
Freestyle World Champion with a flawless run of big, crowd pleasing tricks. He
rides because he truly believes that Scootercross can become a recognized and
well respected, professional sport. I
choose Go-Ped Brand Scooters, because they are the only scooter I trust that will
hold up to my riding capability! Willie Handy Chris
Crash Call
At the age of
27, Chris has a wife and three kids, but dont think he holds off any at
the track! This year he has really stepped it up and has consistently been finishing
in the top running at all the National Scootercross Races! However, Chriss
strong point is his freestyle riding! He has the most incredible Superman and
Superman Indian airs in the sport! This year at the 2003 Scootercross World Finals,
Chris shocked everybody. He decided that it was time to show everyone that hes
a force to be reckoned with by shattering the current World Record distance jump,
by jumping 50 feet! But wait
he decided to backflip that distance and landed
it!!! It was completely inconceivable, but you can witness it for yourself in
the new movie Progressive! Im
confident with Go-Ped Brand Scooters; they are the best, period!
Chris Call
Brandon
B$ Currie
With the most wins
in both 2002 and 2003, Brandon is the most dominant rider on the track, hands
down. He holds several World Champion titles and most recently became 2003 National
Scootercross® Champion. He has a lot of racing experience in other sports,
which pays off, because he is very calm and collected during the races. Also being
great at freestyle, he pulls off the most combinations of different tricks, making
him one of the most well rounded riders. I
like riding Go-Peds® because they handle great and are durable.
Brandon Currie Jason
Jay Ray Silveira
Jason is
a top rider that is really starting to put the heat on! He became the 2003 Pro
Sport World Champion and was narrowly behind Brandon Currie in the National series,
making him 2003 2nd Overall National Champion. He always puts on a great show
at the Team Go-Ped shows as well. Of all the riders, he manages to get the most
air and hes not afraid to keep making the distance of the Robo Ramp
gap (ramp used during Team Go-Ped shows) larger and larger! Keep an eye out for
this guy in 2004! I ride Go-Ped® Brand
