future entry into the new House of Ped

The Roof is On and we're still on schedule. The building is really starting to take shape especially the Grand Entrance. It won't be long before the awesome sound and smell of Go-Peds® grace the neighborhood.

This week's schedule includes the pouring of the Entry columns, Entry beam, running electrical conduit and installing electrical panels. Verizon telecommunications is also scheduled to be installing the all important phone lines.

The Atrium which is located in the center of the building will be the first interior walls to go up this next week. The atrium will bring the outdoors inside with a nicely landscaped lounging area protected from the elements by the custom built atrium skylight. Complete with banana trees and monkeys (just kidding, not quite that tropical).

The local real estate agents, banks & escrow companies are also staying very busy as excited PMW employees fill their offices on the few free weekends left leading up to the transplant in just a few weeks time.

Warranty Procedures

New Dealer Warranty Procedure and Contacts at PMW
In our continued efforts to provide the best customer service to our dealers, PMW is introducing a new Warranty Procedure intended to more efficiently and promptly handle warranty issues and enquiries
This new warranty Procedure will come into effect this coming Monday August 18, 2003.

Prior to performing warranty work and repair on a PMW California Go-Ped® Product, PMW dealers need to obtain a warranty authorization number (WAN) from PMW Warranty Department
A new phone line and a new email address have been set up for warranty authorizations only, so that these may be processed the same day.
To obtain this WAN, PMW dealers need to call (925) 456-7052 or email warranty@goped.com and have the following:
• A detailed description of the issue(s), including:
• Symptoms and cause of the problems
• Description of the corrective actions to be taken
• List of OEM Go-Ped® Parts needed to perform the repair (note: only OEM Go-Ped® parts must be used to perform warranty work)
•Product Name and Serial number
•Customer Name
•Proof that the product is within the warranty period. Our warranty authorization department is available to help you determine if a product is still under warranty
The more information is provided the faster the WAN will be issued.
The following may also be required to obtain a warranty authorization:
• Proof of purchase from your customer
• Copy of the warranty registration form
• Digital photos, which can be useful in illustrating a problem. Please also email these along with your request for warranty authorization to warranty@goped.com

Once you receive your warranty authorization number, you will need to proceed with the repair promptly so that our valued customers may start enjoying their California Go-Ped® product without unnecessary delays

Within 3 weeks of the repair, dealers need to submit their warranty claim online or by fax at 925-373-6415 on which the WAN will need to be clearly indicated. Your dealer account will be credited for warranty parts and labor within 3 days.

New Stuff

PMW is always looking for ways to improve our products, and this month will bring two more changes to you:

First is the new Go-Ped Wave Brake Rotor! All air-tired scooters will now come with our custom wave rotor. Cool looking and functional, it provides great stopping power with lighter weight and better cooling. It will retrofit to any of your customers' older scooters.

Safety note: To prevent injury or wheel damage, please remember to deflate all air out of the tire before dis-assembling the wheels for tire replacement, tube repair/replacement, sprocket change or brake rotor change.

The second change affects our whole product line. PMW has just purchased a CNC router, and we have begun cutting all of our wood decks in-house. This new machine allows the decks to be cut with much greater precision and consistency. It's just one more step in our continuing effort to be #1 in quality!
