As you may already be aware, the 10th Annual International Go Ped® National & World Scootercross™ Championships are being held at Sunset Station that weekend. More info can be found here: www.igpa.net . PMW has taken this opportunity to invite you as a Go-Ped® dealer to meet and greet with PMW management as well as other dealers. There will be a 1 hour presentation reviewing the past year, and upcoming business developments, as well as a question and answer period. We understand this is short notice, but felt that there may be many dealers who would love to visit Las Vegas and take in Go Ped® racing at it's best. If you are coming, we would like to see you. We have been working on advancements for the Geo Sport and GOX. They have each received a longer spindle for better wheel coverage. This will help the rear wheel wear more evenly and provide longer life! These spindles are available through our Parts Department and will retrofit to any Geo Sport or GOX product. Also, ALL spindles are now being sold with the correct allen bolt included, No Charge! We also made one more improvement to the GSR and GSR Interceptor. The rear brake disc is now nickel-plated steel for better rear breaking performance! The material and plating are identical to what we use for the front disk, except that it's thinner to reduce weight. These new disks are available from Parts also, and can retrofitted to any GSR. The GoPed participation to this trade show proved to be a successful team effort as Maik has signed many new dealers from the Fair in Germany and Austria. The Fair is open to Trade Only, and welcomed more than 35,000 visitors this year. We saw many cool, sic, creative and innovative cutting edge toy's. Malte & I even got to take a spin on the new concept "Conference Bike" which landed us on the front page of the following morning Munchner Merkur (Munich Paper). It was quite shocking to ourselves at the newstands. Once again, this trade show confirmed that we remain the leaders in our niche market. European People were quite impressed with the New GSR40 which was officially launched in Europe during ISPO. The second most asked about item in the booth was the Go-Quad. The Team roster was made up of Hanny Patmont, Laura Smith and Scott Bolton from PMW and Maik Semcken, Jaclyn Semcken and Malte Treutner all from Maik's Motorbikes, we also had support from Eamonn Breslin and his wife Georgina from Go-Ped® Europa. During the stay in Munich the girls (Hanny, Laura and Georgina) had a chance to sight see a bit stopping by Dachau (a must see), English Gardens and too many shops to mention. One evening we all took the train across town to the largest Bier Garden in Munich. It was well worth the claustrophobic travels, awesome roasted pork legs and of course a stein of bier. The waitresses are impressively strong; they carry 3-4 large steins per hand. Do not mess with'em! Monday evening came and the Fair came to a close, we packed up the booth and made arrangements for it to be shipped to our French Distributor JetFun for their up coming show Glissexpo 6-10 Sept 02 in Biarritz, France. We all said our good byes to our friend's and new friends we made along the way. Tuesday came and we (Hanny, Laura & I) hired a car for 3 days so that we could make our way to Titisee via Neuschwanstein castle (home of Ludwig II the castle Disneyland copied). Luckily we got ourselves an Audi A8 equipped with GPS, which made this 1000km Autobahn journey possible and very enjoyable at 220kph. Titisee is a small beautiful town located on a pristine lake in the Black Forest of Germany known for it's carved cookoo clocks, ham and of course bier. But what is more special about Titisee is that it's truly where GoPed was born. To be exact the Schwatzwalt Hotel, this is where Steve Patmont met Hanny while he worked as a waiter and she worked as a chambermaid. The two falling in love giving birth to Gabe and moving to America to start living their dream. I felt fortunate to hear and experience the story. On Friday we returned to Munich for one last night before heading to the airport at 5 AM Saturday for a short flight to Paris before changing planes for a 12-hour flight to SFO. All the GoPed Crew at Patmont Motor Werks and GoPed Europa would like to thank everyone's hard work in making this successful trip and trade show possible, and especially Jaqueline, Maik and Malte for their dedication and excellence. This 2002 end-of-season race is a dual event, where a National Champion and a World Champion will be determined. The National Champion will be based on the results of this race, and the World Champion will be based on the 2002 Go-Ped® racing series point totals. Venue: We are excited about the newly added 41.5 cc Road Race - this will be a fast, exciting race! We have appreciated your support as we continue to grow and enhance the Go-Ped® racing experience.
