Season's
Greeting from the Accounting Department,
We
at PMW expect this Christmas season to be a very busy one, so here are a few suggestions
to help speed up, and more importantly, complete your order efficiently and accurately
as possible. 1. When sending your orders please
make sure that all payment information is complete. 2. Parts orders are generally
a day or two longer then just ped orders.. If you separate your parts order from
your Ped order your parts and peds will be shipped more timely. 3. If you
are planning to pay by check or wire, please call Grant West ahead of time to
make the necessary arrangements. 4. Remember that Go-Kredit® customers may
not use warranty credits for their orders. 5. Customers placing orders using
warranty credits may do so online. Just remember to put the credit memo number(s)
in the comment field and then click on "terms". Do not enter any credit card information.
6. Please refer to map for the delivery times for UPS. Also understand that during
the Christmas Holiday, UPS cannot guarantee delivery dates. Related

Names New Go-Ped® Champions The 10th Annual Go-Ped® Nationals and World Scootercross™
Championships were held at the Sunset Station Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, November
1st and 2nd, 2002.
The biggest Go-Ped get-together
of the year brought out all the dedicated IGPA members, as well as many new Beginners
racing for the first time. Professional Street Luger, Bob Osborn, had so much
fun racing his X-Ped®, he even sent the IGPA a letter of appreciation. Thanks,
Bob! PMW
was delighted to see European Go-Ped® Distributors Jeremy Crook & Ross Walker
out there racing, as well as Shinji and Masami visiting from Japanese Go-Ped®
Distributor, Fennec. This year’s inductees
into the Go-Ped® Hall of Fame were Rich Ratto from Scooter Pros, and our own Trevor
Simpson! Induction into the Hall of Fame status is awarded to two special individuals
each year who lovingly work to benefit the Go-Ped® industry. Special Appreciation
awards also went to Paul Chong of MLC for his help and commitment this year.
A
couple of old-timers came out of “retirement” to race in the exciting new Pro
41.5cc GSR Road Race. Gabe Patmont (# 321) had been missing in action for several
years, but this didn’t stop him from winning 1st place World Champion in the 41.5cc
category. Dave “The Tick” Adragna (#666 - of course!) took a 3rd Place! Way to
Go, Dads! As Jeff Otto appropriately concluded,
“trophies were plentiful, and some took plenty!” Juniors “Adam Bomb” Wasson and
Brian Combee took so many trophies, we lost count! Congratulations
to the new overall 2002 1st Place Pro World Champion - Brandon Curry! Right behind
him is Willie Handy in 2nd place, and Tim Patmont’s still bringing home the Titles
in 3rd Place. Thanks for the great racing excitement guys! The Pros took home
some serious cash prizes this year too. Special thanks to Ron Fortenbury, his
excellent group from Omaha, and the IGPA for their commitment to first-class,
fun-filled, family oriented Go-Ped® racing. The smiles say it all.
If you missed the 2002 World Finals in Las
Vegas, there is still a chance to catch all the highlights! Get your VCR ready
on November 25th at 9:30 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) for the XBS’s half-hour
presentation of the 2002 Go-Ped® World Finals on ESPN2.

"The New California Go Ped® Sport S25 comes with Hot Xmas deals!"
| by Jim Patmont | top |
Dear
Valued PMW Dealers,
Introducing the California Go Ped® Sport S25!
PMW is pleased to announce a Christmas surprise for our dealers! The all new Sport
S25® is now available for immediate purchase for the holidays. Just like the original,
this direct drive improvement on the original Sport® comes with the popular heavy
duty frame, larger "pill" style deck, and 25cc's of "Stratocharged" power for
a faster, quieter ride. The available colors are in our traditional Red, and Blue,
as well as Black. These are available for order now, and we will be shipping these
units starting next week.
Hot New Xmas Deals! Also,
we are pleased to announce that PMW's current price structure will remain in effect
until Spring of 2003. We want to help you make this a great Christmas selling
season. As an incentive to our dealers, we are offering added discounts off of
all invoices through the end of 2002 when you include Sport S25®'s to your order.
Here's how it works:
For any 5 Sport S25®'s ordered, you will receive an additional 1% off of the total
invoice. Order 10, and you get 2% off. Quantities of 15 gets you 3% off....Order
up to the maximum of 20 and take an additional 4% off the total invoice, regardless
of whatever else is on the invoice. This added discount opportunity will be in
effect through the end of 2002, and we think that these extra savings will help
you make this a very good Christmas selling season.
Happy Holidays from all of us at PMW. We appreciate your support! Related

How to avoid upset customers
with under performing imitation "replacement" Komatsu Zenoah G23LH engine parts
made cheaply in Taiwan, China, or anywhere else. The following
photos will help Authorized Go-Ped dealers identify genuine Komatsu Zenoah G23LH
engine parts from inferior imitations now entering the market through low cost
importers, that advertise them as "acceptable" replacement parts. Note:
The very efficient Komatsu Zenoah G23LH engine and its engine parts are certified
as U.S. EPA Phase 1 compliant, making this engine legal for sale and use in 49
states for other than competition purposes. Low Quality Imitation engines and
parts that are not compliant with EPA emissions standards are not legal for sale
or use in the USA. Don't be fooled into using these engines or parts. If you have
purchased these, take them back and insist on a full refund.
The cylinder comparisons: | The
KZ (Komatsu Zenoah) cylinder has 12 horizontal cooling fins for optimum heat transfer
and engine thermal efficiency. It also has a large heat transferring fin on the
very hot exhaust port outlet | The
inferior low cost imitation cylinder has only 11 horizontal cooling fins and no
cooling fin on the exhaust port outlet reducing reliability, power output and
combustion efficiency.
| The
KZ cylinder has ring protecting chamfers on the transfer ports to prevent ring
wear and breakage. | The
inferior low cost imitation cylinder has instead a sharp "hooked" edge on the
transfer port known to be bad for piston ring wear and reliability. Also this
cylinder has a stepped down squish band ring in the combustion chamber that ultimately
causes a lower compression ratio due to piston clearance requirements. This creates
lower engine output, and reduced combustion efficiency.
Piston
comparisons: | The
KZ piston with "waffle" pattern. | The
inferior low cost imitation piston with no pattern.
- These
pistons appear quite similar but in fact the low cost inferior imitation is much
heavier (3 grams heavier). This is known as "reciprocating weight", and reduces
the maximum potential of RPM, increases vibration, and again reduces engine efficiency.
- The
imitation piston also has a much thinner upper compression ring land. The result
is a piston subject to breakage and failure under high pressure and temperatures.
- The imitation piston has a deferent dome shape that will
produce lower engine output through reduced combustion efficiency.
Crank Shaft comparisons:
| The KZ crank shaft assembly
with light weight connecting rod, heavy duty crank pin journals and solid crank
pin. This is the biggest reason why a Go-Ped can handle back flips, jumps and
bomb drops without a third bearing support. | The
inferior low cost imitation crank shaft assembly: Notice the very thin and week
crank pin journals, but heavier connecting rod that again induces higher reciprocating
weight. The crank pin is also a thin wall piece of tubing. This crank will not
hold up to high output, or service required on a Go-Ped scooter. It's reliability
will be very low causing very serious and expensive engine repairs. The reduced
crank shaft material volume and hollow crank pin greatly increases the crank case
volume. This results in a lower crank case compression ratio, reducing the efficiency
of the transfer port intake cycle. The lighter counter balance lobes are also
insufficient for proper engine balance. The result is very poor engine output
through improper balance of the heavier reciprocating mass and low volumetric
efficiency. This creates unacceptable combustion efficiency yet high fuel use
and high polluting emissions output. |

|

|
Looks can be deceiving, but it takes much more than looks to have the superior
engineering details that come with every Komatsu Zenoah engine. These engine details
have been developed for over 60 years by Komatsu Zenoah. Do not use these imitations
or any non Komatsu Zenoah or PMW approved replacement parts. The use of these
imitation parts as Go-Ped replacement parts for sale, repairs, or warranty repairs
can result in the loss of the Go-Ped Dealership Authorization. Related
