A Message from Steve Patmontby Steve Patmont

I wish to thank and congratulate all at PMW in the way we pulled off a very difficult move down at the west end of Wright Brothers Ave. The teamwork, patience and communications were amazing. We’ve expanded in our past many times, but never like this. All during this disruption, Tony and his guys Kent, and Juan S. made our first sheet metal parts in the new sheet metal shop at the other end of Wright Bros Ave. After Tony and Tina arranged the electrical/electronic infrastructure, Gabe and his crew of Oscar, Brian, and Chris in shipping moved the entire boxing, shipping, parts, and parts wrapping operation. Not forgetting the most important customer, somehow they shipped fairly large orders right out as well. Much thanks goes to the wisdom of Gabe, Tony and Linda for ordering up a few temps to help the move. Meanwhile, Both fab and assembly production stayed at full speed, Scott and Jim P coordinated another great dealer training session, Jim R. and Bob kept the R&D Skunk Werks as productive as ever, Kevin and Barry almost have the new Factory Go-Shop store ready, and Anne-Cecile with Gabe’s and other’s help, pumped out a huge mailing to Germany in time for a big Munich trade show in a couple weeks. Thanks to Linda for her suggestions, and especially Tina who gracefully made sure we had very little work station down time, even with short to no notice.
We have more to go though. Next, the Handle Bar sub assembly station needs to come down to the warehouse in 58, and the locker room moves up to where the Handlebars were. I’m sure we’ll need those temps for that as well. The repair area is to move to the old locker room after some renovation.
After the dust settles, I know we’ll then be set up to be able to run a very efficient, productive and rewarding operation for the next few years, God willing.

With great admiration for all,
SP

We have a new queen of the fleet!

With a special agreement and collaboration with the amazing Mr.Trevor Simpson, we present to you the new GSR40 TS Interceptor.

Please see other articles about this amazing GoPed.

This is our highest performing racing product to date and will only be available in limited production quantities. We expect this GoPed to be ideal for law enforcement departments throughout the world. We have created a few "Go-Cop" samples, complete with siren, flashing red and blue lights, and rack with accessory bag for dealers that wish to demonstrate this incredible potential to their local police departments. Contact our sales department about that waiting list, and the great "Go-Cop" program we are suggesting.

GoPed Speed Racer GSR40 IROC racing a huge hit, and IGPA is CARB supported!

The recent IGPA race in Rialto CA featured the GSR40 in all IROC scooter racing classes, and it was the best IROC racing they've ever seen. I was told by the racers that it was the most fun they'd ever had as well. I hear the Pro's want to go at it over the jumps on these babies. Now that would be VERY fun to watch. What do you think IGPA? Dash for cash for the top 10 pro's?
Also for the first time there was a charity "Race to Save the Planet" on Hoverboards where I understand all proceeds are being donated to the IGPA supporting CARB and American Lung Association.
Way to go IGPA.

I can't wait for the IGPA GoPed World Championships!

PMW Dealer 5 Star Ratingby Jim Patmont

"PMW's rating system is a way for the consumer to be directed to best, closest PMW Go Ped® dealer in their local area. In conjunction with Map Quest, the "Find A Dealer" locator on www.goped.com directs potential Go Ped purchasers to local dealers in their area. The Map Quest function picks the 5 closest geographically to the inputted address. This service supplies a printable map with driving instructions right to the front door of all PMW Go Ped® dealers. The dealer rating is intended to promote those dealers who promote the Go Ped® family of products the best. We have elected to utilize a "5 Star" dealer rating system that emphasizes total customer support.

This rating system is designed to recognize and promote the PMW dealers who support, service, sell and protect the Go Ped® name the best. Since the consumer has typed in www.goped.com, using our brand name to find our products, we feel that this rating system rewards the dealers who best represent us. We look forward to all dealers striving to be the best, and look forward to helping you become a PMW recognized "Gold Star Dealer!"

Rack One Up for PMW by Gabe Patmont

Want to use your GSR40 to commute to work but are having problems taking your business tools along with you? Well, check out the rack on this baby! To further extend the versatility and usefulness of the GSR40, PMW has designed, developed and tested a rack that mounts to the rear of the GSR40. It’s easy to install by replacing the tank mount plate with the rack. The rack allows a suitable mounting platform for your laptop, books, tools, stowage bag, small cooler, or picnic basket. The GSR rack is available online and found in “New Stuff”, or the “Accessories” section of the Go-Shop (part# GSR9001). The suggested retail price is $30. Now all that is needed is the Sat-Squatch® seat assembly to sweep you off your feet.

Team Go-Ped® at the Core Tour in Manhattanby Tim Patmont

Team Go-Ped® does it again, this time in NY, NY! The riders were Kevin “Littleman” Kiraly, Brandon Currie, Chris Brown, and Tim Patmont showing the limits of Go-Pedding to the extreme community, as never before seen on the East Coast! Some of the amazing tricks included Superman deck grabs, 360s, heel clickers, Antwon airs, and backflips! There were also several entourages of Go-Pedders that managed to show up to support Team Go-Ped! (these pictures came from one of them) The event was held one block away from the Brooklyn Bridge at South Street Seaport only blocks away from Ground Zero. The Core Tourincluded the world's best BMX Pro dirt jumpers and mountain boarders. The next event will be at Huntington Beach, CA for the US Pro Surfing Fusion Philips event August 3rd!

Dealer Service Training by Scott Bolton & Linda Corbett

Thank you, GoPed® Dealers, for your overwhelming response to our Factory Training Seminars. Our first three sessions produced 58 fully "Go-Ploma'd" Dealers who have earned their Factory Go-Ped® Silver Star Rating. These training sessions have proven to be very valuable to serious Go-Ped® dealers, not to mention fun! Please be sure to let us know right away if you cannot attend a session that you have signed up for. We can fill that spot with another Dealer on the waiting list.

The curriculum being taught ranges from electrical units to the Liquimatic clutch. We have found that we don't need to spend much time covering basic two-stroke theory, because most Dealers have a pretty good handle on that. But please do let us know in advance if you need training on two-stroke theory. We'll be happy to spend some additional time making you feel comfortable in this area.

To make your time with us even more memorable, Steve Patmont takes the Dealers on a Go-Pedded tour of the factory...Go-Pedding throughout our nine buildings including the Paint Shop, Machine Shop, Welding Shop, Sub and Final Assembly...and now the Factory Go-Shop! You'll get to meet some of the employees you've been speaking with over the phone for years. It's always great to match a face to the voice you're so familiar with. PMW provides the training, a pizza lunch and dinner at the Cattlemen's Steakhouse! Can't beat that!

We look forward to sharing our Go-Crafting knowledge with the next batch of Go-Ped® Dealers. The next seminar is scheduled for September 19th and 20th, 2002. Please contact Scott Bolton at boltons@goped.com to make your reservations. Scott will also provide hotel information and driving directions from the airport.

IGPA Racing a Big Successby Jim Patmont

The International Go Ped® Racing Association held their third race of the year in Rialto, California on July 13th and 14th.

Over 150 racers competed in 29 different classes at the Rialto Airport Speedway. These races are such great family events, with racing classes ranging from Pee Wees to Pros.

2 ½ year old Harley Bird got 2nd place in the Pee Wee Grow Ped race

Tim Patmont worked some serious magic, and was able to get ESPN2 to come out a film the race! With a television crew on hand filming raw footage for a 30-minute television show to air on ESPN2 and Fox Sports in September, the atmosphere was electric.

The highlight was the best race of the year in the Super Big Foot Modified Pro Class, where Brandon (B Money) Currie overtook Tim Patmont on the final lap for the victory.

The Rialto race also featured the first ever "Race for the Planet" Electric Hoverboard race, where all proceeds were donated to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) charity.

This race was such a hit that the I.G.P.A. decided to "do it all over again" and hold the 4th race in the series at the exact same location, on August 17th and 18th.

The final two races in the series will be in Las Vegas Nevada, and San Francisco in September and October.
