Shipping a Gasoline-Powered Scooter.
Please keep in mind that full responsibility rests with the mailer to comply with all postal and no postal laws and regulations regarding the mailing of hazardous materials. Anyone who mails, or causes to be mailed, a nonmalleable or improperly packaged hazardous material can be subject to legal penalties.
This would include a gas scooters containing traces of gas and gas vapor. Before you attempt to ship a scooter you must insure that all traces of gas and gas vapor are non existence. It is good idea to also thoroughly clean the scooter of all residue oils and wash air filters that may also contain gas and oil residue before packaging for shipment. If you are unsure of the regulatory statues of your package you should check with Hazmat, DOT and or FAA before attempting to ship.
